Madagascar, previously known as the Malagasy Republic, is an island in the Indian Ocean, approximately 400 kilometres off the coast of East Africa. The Island is known for its export of valuable timber such as ebony, rosewood, and sandalwood. Madagascar is blessed with flora & fauna with 800 species of butterflies and a 100 species of lemur.
