The Longwood Shola in Kotagiri covers the evergreen forests, serving as a home of the flying fox and the Indian Bison. The Nilgiri hills are also famous for providing a spectacular trekking experience. Wellington has the famous Manekshaw Bridge formerly known as the Black bridge.
Over the years there are many hotels set up in the region on Nilgiri. The Taj Savoy Ooty, Gateway Coonoor, Sterling, Fortune, Sinclairs or Neemrana provide luxury hospitality for the tourists.
