Fan away the dust from the Golden city

Jaisalmer was a former medieval trading center and a princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert, known as the Golden City.” Part of the famous Silk Route the splendid Jaisalmer Fort, also known as the ‘Golden Fort’ or ‘Sonar Qilaor’ narrates the stories of valour and chivalry of the Rajput rulers. It is among the largest forts in the world and it is situated on the Trikuta Hill – a prime tourist attraction. Jaisalmer is distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture, adorned with lakes and Havelis. Behind the sprawling Jaisalmer Fort, stands the ornate Maharaja’s Palace with intricately carved Jain temples. Sonaron ka Baas has some of the best jewellery for gold, silver and exquisite stones to the more traditional or funky silver accessories. Its medieval charm is evident in its colourful narrow streets, splendid forts, palaces, opulent Havelis and bazaars like the Pansari Bazaar; one of the oldest street markets, selling flamboyant home decor to popular puppet dresses.

Jaisalmer is very hot during summers ranging from 39°C – 50°C, while winters are moderate ranging from 5°C – 20°C. The Jaisalmer Desert festival is an annual event that takes place in February (the Hindu month of Magh). One can enjoy delicious food, interesting stalls displaying artefacts, handicrafts, souvenirs along with Desert safari and camping. The golden city has spectacular experiences to offer and the gorgeous Jaisalmer Resorts that pamper you like a prince or princess during your stay there. Jaisalmer Resorts like the Surya Garh, Sujan Serai, Sarovar Portico, Jaisalkot, Rawal Kot & Chokhi Dhani are famous for their traditional welcome & Rajasthani hospitality with spacious rooms, traditional motifs and wooden furniture. International Hotel chains like Marriott have standardized global services for foreign guests.

One can use either a single BIG Fan in 1000 sft courtyard or banquet area, instead of several fans, when you select from Super King Sized Fans collection as these have BLDC motors, using green technology(energy efficient), and are yet functional & silent. Havelis and Royal themed Homes and Hotels can use Decorative under light Fans and Hanging Lamp fixtures to uplift any room immediately.  Luxaire completes the Designer Ceiling products with Eco Friendly Designer Pendant Lighting to light up double height Lobby entrances, Executive Suites and Presidential suites throwing beautiful shadow patterns on the ceilings.

Lastly, Custom made fiber and LED based Designer Planters contribute to the freshness from the summer heat, if used as landscaped designs in the portico, gardens, restaurants, spas, guest rooms or even in reception areas.  At the end of the day, all that is left are the many sand dunes and Tyre marks, much like our memories.
